As a result of the accident diesel fuel has been spilled across the road. Authorities are still working to clean up the area morning, causing chaos for commuters.
According to police, the B-double vehicle hit an unoccupied car sitting in the emergency lane before crashing through the centre-median barriers, overturning and coming to rest on the opposite side of the road.
The accident caused the truck’s load of one million chicken nuggets bound for McDonald’s, worth almost $500,000, to spread across the highway.
